Types of Bolts

Hexagonal

Countersunk/Flat socket

Hex Flange

Flange bolts have a round flange beneath the head that distributes the load like a washer. Non-serrated flange bolts are frequently referred to as frame bolts.

Socket Head

Socket screws combine some of the enhanced performance characteristics of other popular hex fasteners with the practicality and simplicity of a standard format screw set. This middle ground can be a practical compromise in many circumstances, especially when working in places where it is difficult to get secure externally wrenched hex fasteners.

12-Point

An alternate head style for hex socket cap screws is the 12-Point Bolt. The counterbored holes are designed for common hex socket cap screws, and the flange diameter and head height are made to meet a variety of applications.
